This piece is from the “Nagareru” series of vessels. Taken from the Japanese word for flowing, the piece is a balance between many forces. The piece features several layers of bright gloss glazes that ooze and pour down the surface. Colors include Cherry red, Matte red, Purple flux, and a white flux. A bright glowing orange gloss glaze lines the inside of the piece. The porcelain clay body has been fired to cone 6 and has a felt bottom to protect from scratching. There are little imperfections and many small moments of happenstance creating a balance in the strange undulating berry surface. This piece measures 12.5” x 8” X 8”
