This piece is from the “Nagareru” series of vessels. Taken from the Japanese word for flowing, the piece is a balance between many forces. This piece features a gunmetal black glaze mixed with a black flux causing running puddles of dark and iridescent streams with little breaks in the green tone. The surface has thick texture of marble sized divots creating deep patterns. The interior is a reflective chrome type glaze giving an almost mirror like reflection at the bottom of the piece inside. This porcelain clay body has been fired to cone 6 and has a felt bottom to protect from scratching. There are little imperfections and many small moments of happenstance creating a balance in the strange surface. This piece measures 13” x 7” X 7”
