This is a special edition Nagareru style vessel. Taken from the Japanese word for flowing, the piece is a balance between two forces. This vessel is an underglaze black surface that in a cone 6 firing comes out as a satin black almost gun metal feel. In the ports that are pressed into the piece, a glossy black “Gloop” glaze runs and puddles around the pitted surface. The contrast between the gloss movement and matte still surface creates the balance that was needed. This piece measures 14” x 7” X 7”
