This is a special edition Nagareru style vessel. Taken from the Japanese word for flowing, the piece is a balance between two forces. There is an underglaze grey surface that is . riddled with little gloop glaze “teeth” crawling all over the undulating clay body. The “teeth” are then melted into with a flux glaze that runs and puddles around the surface. The two forces are in constant motion bleeding together forming interesting intersections of interactions. The piece is Cone 6 fired with a felt foot for protection. There are little imperfections and many small moments of happenstance creating a balance in the strange surface. This piece measures 13.5” x 7” X 7”
