This vessel is from the “Nagareru” series. Taken from the Japanese word for flowing, the piece is a push and pull between the different surfaces of the vessel. Deep indentations form almost holes through out the vessel that leads to puddling of glazes that almost ooze out. The contrast between the bright tangerine exterior and the deep gold interior forms a repetition of movement. The piece is High fired with custom glazes manipulated to run and mix and both sides bleed into each other. There are imperfections and many small moments of happenstance creating a balance. This piece measures 14” x 6” X 6”
