This vessel is from the “Nagareru” series. Taken from the Japanese word for flowing, the piece has a surface that is almost liquid like. This “slimy cactus” piece is made to mimic the surface of a cactus, but is made slick and viscus. No thorns or waxy surface adorn this vessel, instead the viewer is treated to a bumpy slick surface that feels like it is running off of the piece. The vessel is High fired with glazes manipulated to run and mix. There are imperfections and many small moments of happenstance creating a unique surface. This piece measures 14” x 6” X 6”
