This vessel is from the “Nagareru” series. Taken from the Japanese word for flowing, the piece is a balance between two forces. The lower portion of the piece is made to represent the movement of the world. Tectonic plates, river beds, and volcanoes. The upper portion represents the stillness of the world. The two sides are in constant motion with each other. The piece is High fired with glazes manipulated to run and mix. Both sides bleed into each other. There are imperfections and many small moments of happenstance creating a balance. This special variation would make Elsa proud. This piece measures 14” x 6.5” X 6.5”
