This is a special edition Nagareru style vessel. Taken from the Japanese word for flowing, the piece is a balance between two forces. The upper portion consists of mixed glazes representing colorful motifs of Valentine’s day like soft pinks, inky black, and shiny reds while the lower edges are heavily textured and jagged. The two sides are in constant motion bleeding together forming drips and runs. There is a playfulness to the piece in it’s color palette. The piece is Cone 6 fired with glazes manipulated to run and mix. Both sides bleed into each other. There are imperfections and many small moments of happenstance creating a balance. This piece measures 12.5” x 7” X 7”
