This vessel is from the “Nagareru” series. Taken from the Japanese word for flowing, the piece is a balance between two forces. The lower portion of the piece is made to represent the movement of the world. Tectonic plates, river beds, and volcanoes. The upper portion represents the stillness of the world. The two sides are in constant motion with each other. This piece is a mid range porcelain with stoneware texture. The sides are then pierced and woven back together with colorful threads. This piece measures 14” x 7” x 7”
